About Ijmali

Ijmali (إجمالي, "total") is an independent price comparison site built and run in Cairo, Egypt. It answers one question: what will this item really cost me, delivered to my door?

We compare listings from online shops in Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan and around the world. For every listing we estimate the full delivered cost to Egypt, Bahrain or Jordan: the shop's price, shipping, customs duty, VAT and clearance. Then we rank by that total, not by the shelf price. What we are not

We do not sell anything. We are not a shop, an agent or a marketplace. You never pay Ijmali. When you choose an offer, you buy from the shop itself, on the shop's own website, under the shop's own terms.

How the site is paid for

Some links to shops (for example Amazon and noon) carry an affiliate tag. If you buy after following one, the shop may pay us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Every offer with such a link says so on the page. Commissions never change the ranking: offers are ordered by the delivered total, and shops cannot pay to be listed or moved up.

How we keep the information honest

• Prices are read from the shops' own catalogues, most of them every night, and each offer shows when it was last checked.
• Customs and VAT follow the rates each country publishes, with the source named on How it works. When a real invoice disagrees with our estimate, the invoice is right and we correct our tables.
• Listings are sorted into categories by our own models, and checked against their photos, because shop titles are often short or misleading.
