How it works
The cheapest price is not the price on the shelf
A phone listed at 8,400 EGP in Amman is not an 8,400 EGP phone if you live in Cairo. By the time it reaches your door it has picked up shipping, a customs duty assessed on the shipped value, VAT charged on top of both, and clearance. That is cost that no shelf price shows you, and it is why the cheapest listing and the cheapest purchase are so often two different things.
Ijmali computes all of those numbers before it ranks anything. Every price you see on this site is the number you will actually pay.
Crawl
Every night for the shops that publish a whole catalogue, and live on demand for every other shop, in any country. Titles are cleaned on the way in, and a price below half a percent of that shop’s own median is treated as a placeholder rather than a bargain.
Identify
Every offer is classified by what kind of thing it is, reading the title from the front, because a title announces what it is and then qualifies it. A power bank rated in milliamp hours is not a watch.
Land the cost
Shipping by weight, then duty on the CIF value at the rate for that product category and destination, then VAT on the sum, then clearance. Thresholds and minimums applied per country.
Rank
By the delivered total, never by commission. Where we earn an affiliate fee we say so on the offer itself.

Shipping is an estimate based on the weight of the product. Everything else is computed from published rates. Where our estimate differs from a real invoice, the invoice is right and we correct the table.
